Support for D/deaf people
Enabling others to access information and courses to break down barriers for D/deaf people has meant we have been very busy since September 2020. Alongside our 3 directors our membership has grown and we rose to the challenges presented with the current pandemic by having our first general meeting using Zoom which was very productive.
Our social signing group ‘Signers Anonymous’ continues to grow strong. We strongly promote inclusion for all, whether D/deaf or hearing. Setting up the D/deaf café has had to go on hold due to COVID and the regulations in place but we still hope to get this off the ground whenever it is possible in the future.
Consultancy services have started, enabling us to advise, signpost and discuss proactive ways forward others to access information and courses to break down barriers for D/deaf people has meant we have been very busy since September 2020.
