These courses are beneficial for organisations/businesses to learn how to ensure they meet the needs of people with a hearing loss in relation to the Equality Act 2010 and/or Accessible Information Standards to provide reasonable adjustments for their customers and/or staff teams with a hearing loss. These courses can be tailored to fit around your organisation/business requirements.

These courses are also beneficial for hearing individuals to ensure inclusive communities. Additionally these courses can also empower people with a hearing loss to assert their rights to ensure their needs are met.

Course Structure

4hr course:

The course will develop delegates confidence to communicate effectively with a person with a hearing loss and to recognise diversity. Delegates will gain a basic knowledge of the tactics that can be used for effective communication alongside an understanding of the barriers faced and how to break down these barriers

Please note: British Sign Language will not be taught on this course

6hr course:

The course will develop delegates confidence to communicate effectively with a person with a hearing loss. Delegates will gain a basic knowledge of the tactics that can be used for effective communication alongside an understanding of the barriers faced and how to break down these barriers

Please note: A brief introduction to British Sign Language will be given with the manual fingerspelling alphabet
