SignHealth are asking as many people to complete their survey which will hopefully find another way forward to ensuring needs are met effectively. They are encouraging both people with a hearing loss and healthcare managers etc to complete this. This is the information from them:

For the 5 year anniversary of the standard, SignHealth has joined with a coalition of charities to review how the standard has impacted patient experiences

  • Are interpreters booked for your appointments?
  • Is information being provided to you in an accessible format?
  • Are complaints procedures accessible?

You can help us understand what is going well for patients and what changes still need to happen. The survey will only take 5-10 minutes and there is an option to respond in BSL. We are also asking NHS service managers to complete this survey and support our efforts in reducing health inequality. Please also send this survey to your GP or other health services so that we can gain insights from their perspective as well. Access to healthcare is your right. Your input will help us highlight what needs to improve now. Thank you for your time!
